How to create an API key

Updated 2026-06-07

API keys are bearer tokens for the JupiterInvoice REST API and the MCP server, so you can drive your account from your own code or an AI agent.

Step 1: Open Integrations

Sign in and go to the Integrations page.

Step 2: Go to the API keys section

Scroll to the API keys section. It notes that each key is shown once at creation and revoked keys can't be undone.

Step 3: Name your key

In the Key name field, type something recognizable, for example "Local development" or "Production agent".

Step 4: Generate it

Click Create API key. The key is minted right away.

Step 5: Copy the secret now

The full key appears once in a highlighted box. Click Copy to grab it. After you leave or refresh the page, only the key prefix stays visible, so save it before navigating away.

Step 6: Manage keys later

Existing keys are listed below with their name, prefix, last used, and created dates. Use Revoke to disable any key (this can't be undone).
