After you send payment, you can let the sender know it is on the way directly from the shared invoice page. This is a notification only: it does not mark the invoice as paid. The sender confirms receipt on their end once the funds arrive.
Step 1: Open the invoice link
Click the link the sender shared. The invoice opens in your browser.
Step 2: Open the report form
Find the Already paid? section near the bottom of the invoice and click the I've paid this invoice button. A short form appears.
Step 3: Choose how you paid
Under How did you pay? pick a method: Check, ACH transfer, Wire transfer, Card, or Other.
Step 4: Add an optional note
Use the note field for anything the sender should know, such as a reference, the account it came from, or a check number. You can also add your email if asked.
Step 5: Notify the sender
Click the notify button (it names the sender). The page then shows that you let the sender know it was paid. They will confirm once the funds land. You can update what you reported later.
