Notes for hosts

Free forever

No license fee, no usage cap, no API key. The widget runs entirely in the visitor's browser; nothing calls back to JupiterInvoice beyond the iframe load.

Branding is fixed

Every embed carries a small 'Powered by JupiterInvoice' line at the bottom. That is what makes the widget free. The lockup is not configurable.

No tracking on your visitors

We log one event per iframe load (which tool, which referring domain) so we know which sites embed which tools. We do not set cookies, fingerprint, or track visitor sessions.

Is this really free?
Yes. The widget runs in the visitor's browser, with no backend dependency on JupiterInvoice beyond serving a static iframe. There is no cost to us per embed, and no cost to you. The 'Powered by JupiterInvoice' lockup at the bottom is how we cover the build.
Will the widget break my site's layout?
No. The widget renders inside a sandboxed iframe, which is isolated from your CSS, your JavaScript, and your visitor's data on your site. The most it can do to your page is occupy the height you give it.
Can I customize the colors or hide the branding?
No. The widget uses the JupiterInvoice brand colors and the 'Powered by' lockup is non-configurable. If you need a fully white-labelled widget you would have to build your own, or talk to us about a paid embed without the lockup.
Does the widget set cookies on my visitors?
No. The widget is entirely self-contained and does not set cookies, store data in localStorage, or fingerprint visitors.
What if JupiterInvoice goes down?
The iframe will fail to load and your page will show an empty space where the widget should be. There is no other failure mode (the widget cannot break your page beyond not appearing). We monitor uptime closely; the marketing pages have been at 99.95%+ for the last 12 months.
Can I run the widget on a private intranet?
If your intranet can fetch jupiterinvoice.com, yes. The widget does not need to be on a public domain. If your intranet is air-gapped, you would need to self-host, which we do not currently offer.
